Sekania Beach is not the most popular beach that you can find in Zakynthos. However, it is definitely worth to visit. This beach is quite popular among Caretta Caretta turtles. In fact, it is the place where turtles would lay their eggs. Around 50% of the eggs laid by these turtles are on Sekania Beach. You can find a massive turtle population around this beach as a result of it.

Sekania Beach belongs to the National Marine Park of Zakynthos. The park covers the beach and protects its natural beauty  as well as the area surrounding it is fully protected. It  will not be possible for you to access it throughout the entire year. You will not be able to access the beach from June to October. That’s mainly due to the presence of turtles, who have come to lay their eggs. However, it will be possible for you to access the Sekania Beach during other months and enjoy the time you spend with clear waters.

You can access Sekania Beach by land. You just need to rent a scooter or a car. On the other hand, it is possible to rent a boat or a yacht and access Sekania Beach from the sea as well. This is not a beach that is difficult to access. You can even come here with your kids
